Casa Almendro takes its name from the wonderful almond tree that has been living and wrapping this place for almost thirty years. A place that makes handicraft the essence, characterized by environmentally friendly materials and pleasing colors, furniture and “handmade” objects.
It consists of 8 rooms, an inner courtyard and a very beautiful terrace with a big “palapa” and a fully equipped and shared kitchen, where guests can relax at any time of the day and from which you can see beautiful sunsets.
Its simple, quiet atmosphere and its location make it an ideal place to visit. The décor of the rooms was made entirely by hand and realized with wood by local artisans. Also, part of the exteriors and the terrace are made of local wood, such as the Zapote, the Tzalam, Chechèn or Katalox. Another element that characterizes Casa Almendro is the Indigo Blue, a tribute to Frida Khalo and her house in Coyoacán.
Casa Almendro is located right in front of a small supermarket and only two blocks from the convenience store. Some of the city’s best restaurants, such as El Asadero or Azafran, as well as many typical Mexican taquerias, are nearby. It is only a five-minute walk from the main Street (Avenida Tulum) and offers the guests an ideal overnight in a relaxed and quiet setting. Casa Almendro is located 700 meters from ADO bus station. Guests can use free public parking outside the hotel.
